Bianca and Luke were married with a ceremony and reception at the Biltmore Hotel.
I’d already met up with these two amazing people for a fabulous Engagement Session in Central Park in New York City, so I was over-the-moon excited to see them again and to see them turn the page on this new chapter in their love story. I was caught up in their fun-loving spirit and the obvious friendship and affection that they have for each other during that session, and this time around, it was just as much fun!
I started out the day with Bianca as she got ready, documenting her through her hair and makeup before staging a first look with her dad. Those first looks can be some of the most emotional moments of any day, and Bianca and her father were no exception. Everyone in the room teared up the first time her father saw her.
The party itself was a blast, especially after dinner was served. They had an amazing hora loca (this is “crazy hour” in Miami), complete with dancers on stilts and a confetti blast. They even shared a kiss during the blast—one of my favorite moments of the whole celebration.
Luke and Bianca were warm and welcoming through every moment of the day, getting involved with the party to make sure their guests were having fun as well. At one point, Luke even got in with the band to play the drums!
I also loved the personal touches of the day, like the homemade chocolates from the Dominican Republic that the guests were able to take home. They also nailed a wooden wine box shut, which they will open up on their anniversary. I love it when my brides and grooms step off the beaten path, because it’s these unique details that make each wedding truly stand out.
Luke & Bianca, thank you for allowing me to be part of your beautiful celebration. I had a wonderful time with you both, and Bianca, I am looking forward to photographing your sister this winter!
