I’m Stacey – a wedding photographer based in Miami Beach with 15 years of experience photographing weddings across South Florida. I’m also a mom, a former sports photographer, and someone who genuinely cannot stay away from the ocean for very long.
I started my career in photojournalism, shooting college athletics and professional sports. That background shaped everything about how I work. I’m fast, I’m observant, and I’m always looking for the real moment – not the posed version of it. More than 15 years ago, that approach led me naturally into wedding photography, where real storytelling is the whole point.
I keep your timeline moving without making it feel rushed. I help manage the chaos of family portraits so you’re not standing in the Florida heat for an hour. I’ll guide you through portraits, cue your fiancé when to look, and make sure the important moments aren’t missed – all without ever making the day feel like a photo shoot.

My style blends classic portraiture with a documentary approach. What that means in practice is that most of your day, I’m moving quietly alongside you – watching, anticipating, capturing what’s actually happening. For portraits and family photos, I step in and direct with a calm hand so you end up with images that are both beautiful and genuine. You’ll never feel like you’re performing for the camera.
The couples I work with tend to say the same thing afterward: they forgot I was there for most of the day, and then they got their gallery and couldn’t believe how many moments I photographed . That’s exactly what I’m going for.
The connection we build matters to me. When you’re comfortable with your photographer, it shows in every single image. So before we ever get to your wedding day, I want to know your story, understand what matters most to you, and make sure we’re genuinely a good fit.

QUESTION
Do you shoot for a fixed number of
hours?
ANSWER
My wedding collections range from 8 to 10 hours of coverage, and I’ll work with you to figure out what makes sense for your day. I also offer intimate collections for weddings of 50 guests or fewer — so if you’re planning something smaller, there’s a package for that too.
QUESTION
Who will be photographing my
wedding? Do you recommend having
two primary photographers?
ANSWER
Me. Once you book with Ambrosio Photography, Stacey Ambrosio is your photographer – that’s not something I hand off. Every wedding also includes an assistant, which makes a bigger difference than most couples expect. They carry equipment, hold your bouquet, wrangle family members, and generally make the whole day run more smoothly.
As for a second photographer: it depends on your wedding. Having two of us means we can be in two places at once, which is genuinely valuable for certain timelines and venues. I’ll tell you honestly whether I think you need one.
QUESTION
Will we meet with you beforehand?
ANSWER
Always. I like to meet in person – coffee, lunch, whatever works – before you even book, so we can make sure we’re a good fit. If you’re planning from out of state, a Zoom call works just as well. Then about 30 days before your wedding, we connect again to finalize the timeline, or I work directly with your planner to make sure everything is locked in.
QUESTION
How candid vs. posed is your style?
ANSWER
It’s both, and the balance is something we talk through together. I take a documentary approach for most of the day – I’m watching, moving, capturing what’s actually happening. For portraits and family photos, I’ll step in and direct so you have images that are polished, not just candid. You’ll get a suggested shot list from me ahead of time so we don’t miss anyone important.

How many photos will we receive and when?
ANSWER
Your full retouched gallery is delivered 4 to 6 weeks after your wedding. On average, I deliver 75 to 100 images per hour of coverage – but I never cap what I shoot. You’ll have everything you need to print, share, and download at full resolution, and your gallery stays online for a year from your wedding date.

How is the gallery delivered?
ANSWER
Through a private, password-protected online gallery. You’ll have full printing rights, so you can print, download, share, or email anything in it. The gallery is yours for a year from your wedding date.

Do you Charge for travel?
ANSWER
Based in Miami Beach, I am Miami wedding photographer, but do not charge travel or travel time for weddings in Broward, Palm Beach or the Upper Keys! An overnight travel fee is applied for weddings in Key West & anywhere else outside of South Florida.
